THE process of buying a property in France is quite straight forward, if you have an understanding of the process involved.
It was with this in mind that French avocat Fabien Cordiez put together an introductory guide to the process of making a property purchase.
His guide offers advice on the way that the sales contract works, what to supply if you are seeking planning permission and an idea of the costs involved.
And it also covers leaseback schemes, insurance questions and takes a look at taxation, amongst other subjects.
Fabien is based in Nice but he has also trained as a solicitor in the UK, so he is able to see things from the perspective of a British buyer.
