ONE of the most popular magazines in France for the private sale of homes and property is De Particulier à Particulier.
It provides a range of properties for sale and to rent the length and breadth of France and seeing that it was founded in 1975, the magazine is one of the best on the shelves.
It is possible to check property sales from the De Particulier à Particulier magazine on the English-language section of their website (look out for the UK flag).
The site uses translation software so some of the descriptions are a little strange, but considering that you can only say so much about a property in an advert it is not really problem.
Checking the database couldn’t be easier, you just pick the property type you are interested in, the region and you can type in a price range and surface area to narrow down your search.
Very quickly your results are returned and many of the adverts will feature a small photograph and contact details of the owner – and you can soon find a bargain or two.
For example, I was able to spot a three-bedroom house in Dordogne, dating from the 1930s, with a garage and a new roof for €104,000.
