A NEW website has been launched in France to aid disabled people in finding employment.
Handicap-Job.com has been launched by Fabien Maurice, assisted by Céline Maurice, as an initiative to bring together employers and future employees. Businesses with 20 or more employees are expected to have at least six per cent of disabled people amongst their labour force.
M. Maurice feels that the internet is underused and its availability to the disabled is rare. His objective is to increase this facility and improve the chances of the disabled in the labour market.
This free service allows employers to advertise available positions and job seekers to post an on line C.V. and search for employment.
However, the debate regarding disabled people is one that is ongoing in France with debates and speeches by politicians and campaigners, but disability is not a here today gone tomorrow issue and the disabled still have to await the outcomes of discussions on their future.
Meanwhile, with champions like M. Maurice the disabled still have the ability to find employment and improve their confidence; while others make important decisions over their heads.
