  • So you think you want to move to France?

I WOULD imagine many of us have moved home at some time or another and for varying reasons, writes Coral Luke.

Whether it be for work, to have more space or as an investment, you decided a move would be a pretty good idea.

But for some people a move is often undertaken in response to a negative situation rather than a positive one, and usually it never solves the problems that they believed would disappear in a new environment.

  • Manuals for France Telecom phones

France Telecom phone manualsI RECEIVED an email yesterday asking if I knew how to get hold of instruction booklets for France Telecom telephones – I enjoy such challenges.

Naturally I thought a quick search of Google would do it, unfortunately the results are dominated by a website that is rather cumbersome to operate, but there is a section on the France Telecom website that is much simpler.

Its Notices des Produits page lists phones by manufacturer and then product name, with the manuals available in .pdf format so you can print particular pages off, or just save the document to your computer.

  • We all need a holiday sometime

    Jacqui Alban

Jacqui Alban spotted a niche, providing holidays in France for disabled people

“We don’t need to know what your condition is, your disease, whether or not you use a wheelchair, have a sensory or physical impairment ; these are not important, we try not to label you, we try not to ask, all we need to know is that you want to go on holiday.”

As a disabled person, this is music to the ears. What a disabled person wants is to be accepted in exactly the same way as everyone else. They want people to see past the wheelchair, the walking stick, the hearing aid and guide dog; they want to be seen for exactly who they are; themselves.
